Card Holder – 3 Pocket Handheld

Get in the game with a 3 pocket handheld card holder (sewing pattern). The card holder easily hold 18 cards and can hold even more when the cards are fanned. These are so much fun to make and super easy, too. The sewing pattern includes step by step written instructions, tracing templates and lots of photos making this beginner friendly. It also includes special instructions for adding sewing binding (if you want that option).

These card holders are so quick and easy to make…you can make them as last minute gifts (we all need last minute gift ideas!). You can make several card holders in a single day.

Sew card holders with special fabric to denote teams or reflect the personal interest of those playing.

The pattern includes 2 styles – a cat or a flat topped version. The sewing pattern also includes 3 finishing options. You can have a ragged edge (think rag quilt), a smooth edge (a traditional turning method) or a covered edge (by sewing binding all around). All three styles are easy to make though adding binding to the cat version will be a little tricky for new sewists.

The card holder measures approximately 5 1/2″ wide x 6″ tall. This is a great aid for young kids or people with poor grip strength. Card holders are very popular in our mother’s senior community. They are going to flip for these versions. The snarky card holder (pictured below) will really make them chuckle.
